MixxWave Single Frequency Laser Combiner

Wavelength Combiners (L4Cc & L6Cc)

The Oxxius MixxWave single frequency laser combiner merges multiple narrow-linewidth laser sources — with spectral linewidths as low as 1 MHz, from 473 to 1064 nm — into a single, precisely aligned output. Available in two configurations, the L4Cc (up to 4 lasers) and the L6Cc (up to 6 lasers), it is designed for coherence-sensitive applications such as precision spectroscopy, interferometry and Brillouin measurements, where beam purity and spectral stability are critical.

Key features
• L4Cc: up to 4 lasers, 2 AOMs • L6Cc: up to 6 lasers, 2 AOMs
• Combines 375–1064 nm wavelengths
• Up to 4 fiber or free-space outputs
• Integrated electro-mechanical shutters on each port
• Extension modules for port switching, power split, or AOTF modulation

Why Single Frequency Matters in a Laser Combiner?

Single-frequency (narrow-linewidth) lasers emit light on a single longitudinal mode, providing exceptional spectral purity and long coherence length. When combined through the MixxWave, this narrow linewidth — as low as 1 MHz for select references — is preserved across all channels, making the combiner suitable for measurement techniques that depend on coherence, such as heterodyne detection, interferometry, and high-resolution spectroscopy.

MixxWave Configurations: CW & Modulated, High Power, or Single Frequency?

Oxxius offers the MixxWave combiner in three configurations to match different source types:

  • The CW & Modulated version covers general-purpose multi-wavelength imaging and spectroscopy.
  • The High Power version is built for applications requiring higher optical power per channel.
  • The Single Frequency version, covered on this page, is optimized for narrow-linewidth sources used in coherence-sensitive measurement applications.

Applications

The MixxWave single frequency laser combiner is used in applications requiring narrow spectral linewidth and high coherence, including precision spectroscopy, Brillouin spectroscopy, interferometry, and other coherence-sensitive measurement techniques.

Why Choose the Oxxius Single Frequency MixxWave?

Manufactured in France with full vertical integration, the Oxxius single frequency MixxWave combines narrow-linewidth laser sources, thermal stability, and a compact mechanical design engineered for demanding research and OEM environments. Every combiner is factory-aligned and validated for long-term reliability, backed by a 24-month warranty.
