Management team

Dr. Thierry Georges, CEODr. Thierry Georges is a founder of Oxxius and has been serving as its CEO since December 2002. He has more than 15 years of world-class scientific activity in the domain of lasers and optical transmission, together with a successful track record as an entrepreneur.
He was formerly the CEO of Algety Telecom, a start-up he co-founded in 1999 and which was later sold to Corvis Corp. (NASDAQ: CORV). From 2000 to 2002, he was also Senior VP Technology of Corvis. He regularly advises new ventures and is a board member of several high-tech companies.
Between 1988 and 1999, Dr. Georges carried out R&D activities at Continuum and France Telecom's R&D center, working on topics including solid-state, dye and fiber lasers. He is the author of more than 100 articles and conference papers and has filed more than 15 patent applications.
Dr. Georges chairs Oxxius' Board of Directors. He received his Ph.D. from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST, Paris) and holds Engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and ENST (Paris).

Nicolas Janvier, CTOMr. Janvier currently serves as Oxxius’ Chief Technical Officer. He brings to Oxxius more than 20 years of experience in the electronics and optoelectronics industries.
He has held a variety of engineering, project leadership and management positions in companies such as Thales and Atmel where has was involved in the development of several ranges of components and systems for medical, scientific and industrial applications.
He recently served as General Manager of a SME providing value-added services to development teams in the field of electronics.
Mr. Janvier holds an engineering degree from Polytech’Nantes and an MBA from EM Lyon.

Dominique Bonjour, CFOMr. Bonjour is in charge of Oxxius' finances. He has 15 years of experience of technology companies. He was formerly with Corvis, an optical transmission equipment manufacturer, where he was involved in product-line management and product development. From 1991 to 2000, he worked for France Telecom where he held a series of R&D and management positions.
Mr. Bonjour has co-founded an IT services company where he managed finances and business development. He holds an MBA from ESC Brest, an M.S (Electrical Engineering) from Columbia University and Engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST, Paris).

Bruno Lefèvre, Sales Director EMEA & AsiaBruno Lefèvre heads the European/Asian sales group and is in charge of expanding Oxxius' customer base in these territories. He has an industry experience of 25 years with a track record in developing direct and indirect sales, and in operational marketing.
He spent 10 years at Digital Equipment Europe in a series of positions in sales, marketing and project management. From 1997 to 2001, he developed European distribution and direct sales at Pinacl, a European fiber-optic cable company. Recently, he was Regional Sales Director at Keopsys, a manufacturer of optical amplifiers and fiber lasers.
M. Lefèvre holds a degree in electrical engineering from Université of Cachan, France.

Hugues Fortin, COOMr. Fortin leads the Oxxius manufacturing operations. He has 15 years of experience in the electronics and optics industries. He was formerly a plant manager at Thomson-Nextream (equipment for broadcast media) where he developed the excellence in manufacturing, cost-control and quality.
Prior to Thomson, from 2000 to 2003, he built-up and ran the manufacturing operations for Algety Telecom where he was instrumental in ramping-up production and setting-up the quality system and the supply-chain operations. In the nineties, Mr. Fortin held various engineering, management and operations positions with Sony Corp. He holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz.
